Terms of Service

Welcome to Paid On Time ("we", "our", "the Service"). By accessing or using our platform to create agreements, collect payment authorizations, and trigger client payments, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, connecting to Stripe, or using the platform, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
  • You agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
  • You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

2. Description of the Service

Paid On Time provides:

  • Tools to create digital service agreements.
  • Secure payment authorization collection via Stripe Connect.
  • Configurable payment trigger conditions.
  • Tools to initiate authorized payments.
  • Agreement tracking and payment history dashboards.

Paid On Time does not act as a bank, escrow service, debt collector, or legal advisor. We provide software tools only.

3. Stripe & Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. By using Paid On Time, you agree to:

  • Connect and maintain a valid Stripe account.
  • Comply with Stripe’s Terms of Service.
  • Authorize charges only when contractually permitted.

We do not store or process full credit card information. All payment data is handled securely by Stripe.

4. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • The legality and accuracy of your agreements.
  • Ensuring client consent is properly obtained.
  • Triggering payments only under valid contractual conditions.
  • Handling disputes or chargebacks.
  • Compliance with tax and invoicing laws.

You agree not to use the platform for fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful purposes.

5. Fees

Paid On Time is offered under a subscription model. You choose either a Monthly plan ($29/month) or a Yearly plan ($9/month, billed annually as $108/year).

When you charge clients through the platform, the following fees apply: a payment provider fee of 3% (Stripe), and a platform fee of 4.9% on the Monthly plan or 0% on the Yearly plan. These fees are deducted from the amount transferred to you.

Fees and subscription prices may be updated in the future with prior notice.

6. Disputes & Chargebacks

You acknowledge that clients may dispute payments through their bank or card provider.

Paid On Time is not responsible for chargebacks, disputes, financial losses, or penalties resulting from payment conflicts.

7. No Legal Advice

Paid On Time does not provide legal advice. Agreement templates or workflows are provided as general tools only.

You are responsible for consulting a qualified legal professional regarding your contracts.

8. Intellectual Property

We retain all rights to the Paid On Time platform, branding, interface, and infrastructure.

You retain ownership of your agreements and client data.

9. Service Availability

We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

We are not responsible for outages caused by hosting providers, Stripe, or other third-party services.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms.
  • Use the platform for fraud or abuse.
  • Engage in unlawful activity.

11. Limitation of Liability

Paid On Time is not liable for financial losses, unpaid invoices, chargebacks, legal disputes, tax issues, or indirect damages arising from use of the platform.

The Service is provided on an "as-is" basis without warranties.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
